DME Library Database

Mendure DME: an offline Electron and SQLite system for equipment loans.

The project

Mendure DME is an offline Electron desktop app for the NW Montana Veterans Stand Down and Food Pantry. It tracks equipment, customers, 120-day loans, signatures, and reports in SQLite.

My contribution

I developed the relational database for the library and designed a system to make equipment tracking and checkout more useful.

Interactive demonstration

A library, connected.

An interactive browser adaptation of Mendure DME ↗, the real Electron and SQLite project. Choose a fictional customer, then check out equipment to see linked records and the 120-day return date.

The actual schema connects loans.customer_id → customers.id and loans.equipment_id → equipment.equipment_id. Equipment IDs follow AA-0000; a returned item sets returned_date.

This browser adaptation uses fictional records and the public repository’s schema and rules. The real product is an offline desktop app with SQLite, account access, and signed checkout agreements; no live records are loaded here.
